Description
T-Scan™ dental scan technology helps us analyze the health of your bite. Using a simple, non-invasive sensor system, Drs. Ruth Bailey and Kasey Sliger can evaluate the pressure on each one of your teeth. T-Scan can help us develop a custom dental treatment for malocclusion, TMJ disorders, and more.

Many patients have problems with TMJ issues, jaw pain, headaches. They can also have problems, in addition to that with chipping in crowns, chipping teeth. And we have technology here to help you with that. The technology is called the T-Scan. What this is, is a very thin film, that's a little sensor that we can put into your mouth and let you bite on. The sensor will register the exact amount of pressure that each tooth gets, and it's important that your teeth or your occlusion is balanced, meaning that one side of your mouth hits at the same speed or the same amount of pressure as the opposite side.
This T-Scan technology allows us to go in and evaluate the pressure on each one of your teeth and adjust it into a balanced occlusion. This helps your teeth not chip. It helps you not get headaches. It reduces muscle activity, which can cause jaw pain and TMJ pain. It is the most accurate and the best way to restore your occlusion into balance to eliminate these problems.
The T-Scan is not at all invasive. It is just a sensor you bite on. The slight invasive part is that we have to go in with a very small polishing wheel and polish down microns of tooth structure to get your occlusion balanced.
