So I decided to become a dentist because I wasn't confident with my smile as a kid and I was really shy. I had braces and straightened my teeth. I felt more confident and I smiled more. And as cheesy as it sounds, I felt like a better version of myself.
And that was something I've always wanted to do for other people. I want people to feel confident, to smile, and it really makes the world go around. I love getting to know my patients. That's the best part about being a dentist is not only getting to help them with their health and dental concerns but also to get to know them as a person and to get to know about their lives, their families.
One of the most rewarding parts of dentistry is to see a patient get to their goal of what they want. For instance, one that comes to mind is a patient had, you know, so many weeks until the big day and she was wanting to have that smile that she always wanted for her wedding day. And getting to see her through the journey, have that smile that she always wanted, and then be able to enjoy her day, and not have to worry about having the biggest grin on her face throughout it, it's priceless.
